COURSE DESCRIPTION
Please note that this course is designed for one person and bespoke. However, if there is more than one person, please get in touch as we arrange a reduction in costs depending on the numbers of people that would like to do the course together. If you are part of a walking club and would like to arrange this for the group, then please get in touch.
WHY WALKING MEDITATION?
We all learn how to walk when you are younger and over the years we pick up bad habits which affect our posture and can cause back pain over time. This four week course goes through different aspects of how we can apply mindfulness to our walking practice. As we know that it takes consistent practice to learn anything so through signing up for this course you are committing it and each practice session will become easier.
Mindfulness is a way of paying attention to whatever is happening in our lives, inside and out, in the present moment. When we connect with the present, we become aware of habitual patterns of thought, emotion and behaviour.
With mindfulness, we train ourselves to pay close attention to what is going on in the present moment; just as it is. Much of our suffering is a result of regrets about the past, worries about the future or judgments about the present. When we are mindful we become aware of and explore these habitual thought patterns and ways of reacting. This attitude of curiosity allows us to create new and healthier ways of responding to life’s challenges.
Mindful walking can improve your posture in the long run and calm your mind preventing future issues associated with posture in the future.

4 x 45 mins weekly online group sessions including mindfulness instruction on walking and techniques
Practice exercises to do between each session
